P & E Systems Ltd was originally founded as Pneumatic & Electrical Controls in 1970 at premises in Fenay Bridge, Huddersfield. In 1980 the company continued trading under the name of Pneumatic & Electrical Systems and was joined by the current Managing Director, Nigel Kitchen in August 1989. The Company grew from a small staff of 6 in the late 80’s to the current level of over 20, by diversifying and adding new long term clients. Our key activities are the design and manufacture of Process Control & Instrumentation solutions incorporating PLC’s, Drives, HMI’s and SCADA. The supply of Motor Control Centres and Switchboards is also increasing as our existing client base expands and diversifies with new clients finding they can be provided with a full package incorporating many disciplines from a single source. Today the company also manufactures on-site Nitrogen Generators, Gas Mixing and Oxygen skid assemblies exclusively for one of the UK’s leading Industrial Gas suppliers with equipment being sold in many world markets. In 1990 the company was awarded ISO9001 for Quality Assurance.
In 1999 the company moved to a custom fitted 5000 sq ft industrial unit off Leeds Road, Huddersfield. With continued growth, purpose built premises were later purchased in November 2004, giving the company a 10,500 Square foot office and manufacturing facility.
Currently the company employs 20 plus highly skilled personnel with an ever growing and diversified client base.
Business areas include Industrial Gases, Oil & Gas, Chemical and Pharmaceutical industries. Growth has been achieved by developing close relationships with a small valued client base, whilst providing a high quality personal service and quality equipment. Many clients are in specialist or niche markets, so the requirements of these clients can often be demanding and require specialist working codes of practice and manufacturing techniques. The company provides specialist resources for the needs of these clients and becomes actively involved in joint development projects.
The objectives of the company are to maintain the highest level of service and quality of equipment for a core client base, whilst seeking cost competitiveness through standardization of products and value engineering whilst working in partnership with the client.
